How to: Install a new network card adapter.
Solution:
Double-click the 'Add New Hardware' icon in the Windows 95 'Control Panel' window to start the 'Add New Hardware' Wizard, and follow the displayed instructions.
NOTE 1: For best results, install a network adapter protected mode driver rather than a real mode driver used by older network cards.
NOTE 2: If you have a plug-and-play device BIOS, Windows 95 will automatically detect and configure your network card.
Do the following to set up new hardware with the 'Add New Hardware' Wizard:
1) Install the network card in the computer following manufacturer's instructions (if one is not already installed).
2) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu and select 'Settings'.

Select 'Control Panel'

7) Click 'Next'. (A wizard page with a list of hardware types appears.)
8) Select 'Network adapters' from the 'Hardware types' list box.

4] Click 'OK'. (The 'Select Device' dialog box reappears, and Windows displays the configuration information for the selected card (either as currently-detected settings or as recommended settings).)
11) Click 'OK'. (The 'Add New Hardware Wizard' dialog box reappears.)
12) Refer to the card manufacturer's instructions for any necessary hardware settings, and use the scroll buttons to select the correct settings.
